Reviews for Nelayan Seafood & Catering Sdn Bhd
Review highlights
Based on 1,502 reviewsNelayan Seafood & Catering Sdn Bhd is widely recognized for its authentic Negeri Sembilan cuisine, particularly its rich and flavorful gulai masak lemak dishes. Customers appreciate the extensive variety of traditional lauk pauk, which balances quality and taste effectively, often describing the food as both delicious and memorable. While the restaurant’s interior and exterior receive mixed feedback for their dated appearance, many view this as part of its nostalgic charm and long-standing presence in Seremban. Patrons note that prices might seem high initially but are considered justified by the food quality and portion sizes. Limited parking is a common practical concern, yet the overall dining experience remains highly valued for family meals and cultural culinary exploration.
Came for lunch with beloved parents n dearie wifey. Parking was limited even on a Saturday noon. Restaurant's outlook was so so n even more surprisingly was the interior. However, I was told that this place has long been established here n the lack of any deco nor fresh paints then became understandable. These all were made up in spades with the variety n quality of the lauk pauk. Price was a bit on the hi-side but can totally overlook that based on the occupied tables n diners. I got me a fine, freshly fried Bawal n it was the best fried fish I had ever tasted. My mother, father n wife all praised n loved what they had chosen for themselves. The drinks too was good n to me, the rice complemented it whole eating experience. It was not those dry n non-starchy types. Overall I loved eating here n will definitely come again n recommend to others too. If to make up this place comes with a cost to the overall meal, then let the food available here speak for itself.
Best selection of gulai masak lemak. From rusa to ikan krai to the standard daging salai. Look pricey at the first instance, but once you take the first bite, I’ll guarantee you will feel money well spent
Recently we took a trip to Seremban to explore new food, mostly Chinese food. After visiting four different eateries, we came to this place recommended by a Malay friend. This place offers a wide variety of dishes. Although we were initially informed that the ayam kampung goreng would take about 30 minutes, it was served in just 15 minutes. Overall, we enjoyed our food here the most. Kami order ayam kampung goreng, sambal petai, ikan masin, bendi, itik salai dan jeruk buah. Sedap giler. Mesti makan dengan tangan ye.
Childhood place. Back then, when mama & ayah brought us here for lunch, I’d get cranky. But now that I’m married, I brought my husband here for lunch, by own choice haha. The restaurant is exactly how it was since over 15 years ago. So nostalgic. I loved their masak lemak especially siput sedut! Definitely will come back when I’m in Seremban.
If you want taste Negeri Sembilan food, you must come here. This restaurant have many type of food that will make you want to taste all of food there. I love the food as they are really delicious and spicy. It is suitable for my family and I having our lunch. Besides, the price is affordable.
